This year the PC5 and Park City High School students will be traveling to India. We are working with the Rising Star organization to help children who affected by leprosy. Expeditioners will spend three days in Delhi, seeing the Taj Mahal and other sites in Northern India. Then we will fly to Chennai, a city of about 7.5 million people, and travel about an hour and 1/2 outside of Chennai to work at a school. We will be tutoring and working with the kids in English, Math, computer science, etc. Other projects will be building infrastructure, participating in mobile health clinics that serve the families in nine colonies who are suffering from leprosy and other diseases, and helping with micro-business opportunities for the families in the colonies. We will be staying on-campus during this part of our expedition and will be in-country for a total of 15 days. It should be an amazing experience. While we are there, a documentary crew will be recording our experiences.
